Mommy is upset with me....

Yup!  First thing I did was take off that nasty bandage!
(Read the last post if you missed why I was wearing a bandage)

I can't look at you mommy.  I know I was bad but I REALLY couldn't help myself!!

The remnants of my bandage and blankie (for those of you who don't know, mommy buys fleece by the yard cuz I chew it up everyday.  She doesn't know why and doesn't know how to get me to stop- heck! I don't know why I do it!!)

This is the remnants of my bandages and a little bit of the daily fleece blankie.  Umm......

Mom, I am sorry-  really I am.  I couldn't help myself.  I didn't like how it felt and I am walking just fine, really I am.  There was only a little bit of blood  today cause I went cracker dog when I went outside after not feeling like I could run for two days....
umm...
really mom....I am sorry...
ummm...

I don't think she is buying it.  But she can't stay mad at me furever!  :) he he

(Note from Levi's mom: keep your paws crossed that it doesn't continue to bleed or crack more or Levi is gonna have to have surgery and take the entire nail off- then the bandage will be on permanently, no play dates will happen, and then he will have to wear the cone- or as I  have heard called "the cone of shame".  I warned him.  We'll see how it goes now...)

  11. We seem to have the same chewing problems with storage containers. We don't know why, but we love chewing them to bits!! Be careful Levi, don't want to lose that nail, then you'll have to wear another bandage and that can't come off.

  12. Levi, buddy, you are going to have to suck it up on this one or you are in for a lot worse than a bandage. I can't offer any helpful tips. Sorry. When PeeWee had the same kind of boo boo he had to wear a balloon on his foot whenever he went outside but it was impossible to keep the bandage on inside.

  16. Okay - Take two. Blogger just ate our comment. Anywho - Levi, dude - we're sorry you've got an ouch on your toe! Booties and bandages and not getting to go outside and play are NO fun. Hope your toe's better real soon and you're out and about. Of course, snuggling on the couch is good, too. Tell your Mom that treats help.

We've missed reading about your adventures and we're trying to catch up with everybody. Love the New Year's head bobbles pic with you and Dillon!

PeeS - don't think Blogger likes us today. Not only does it eat our comment, it doesn't show that we were following you. Don't know what's up with that, thought we were, but we are now. Jeez, maybe we'll just go take a nap, after a snack, of course.

  17. Didn't you TELL her that the Squirrels Did It???
Now you leave that toe alone!!! You don't want to end up with the CONE of SHAME do you???

  18. Levi! Don't chew or you may have to wear the cone of shame!

  19. I know I wouldn't like to wear that either but then you will have to be really good and take care of yourself....I'm just sayin'....

  20. Oh Levi, take heed of these warnings - the Cone of Shame is something to be avoided if at all possible!!! It will REALLY make it hard to walk, and hard to play, and even hard to just lay down and sleep. It is a very sad thing.

  21. Good luck with that. I'm sure you're probably glad he's the only dog now, but over break we did a post where we got a lot of feedback about multi-dog households based on your question. In case you missed it: http://pittiesincity.blogspot.com/2010/12/pooches-multi-dog-household.html

  22. I know bandages are no fun... but you don't want surgery.. that is way less fun. Hang in there buddy!

  23. Yep, the peoples will give you the cone. I would tell you to tell them that Dunc has had several nails broken/ripped/split/etc (I don't know how, all he does is sleep...seriously) and mom's taken care of it and kept it bandaged that night then just kept an eye on it. His foot never falled off. You'll live! :)

  24. Aw, Levi Mac, you took your bandage off? Well, you're right, your Mom won't be mad forever. But do like she says and be careful with your poor foot, so you don't have to get the cone!

  25. Hmmm..bandages aren't fun to wear but fun to shred. But we reckon you need to get that paw mended without surgery!

Paws crossed you are soon mended and don't have to wear the dreaded cone of shame!
