The Banquet and Pawty!

This is so exciting.  I have been at the banquet in honer of Pip and Bunny.  They had the bestest race and it really showed all us dogs the power of furiendship, looking out for our fellow dog, and that it's not about the winner but how the race was run!  Hope you all got to see it!

Now we get to celebrate and whew I have been a busy dog!  As Security of Blogville I had a lot of duties yesterday!  I had to make sure all the security was in place for safety of all the celebrities puplebrities.  I mean since the Big Race- Pip and Bunny have been some pretty big puplebrities!

Immediately on arrival I had several duties to take care of as head of da Security.

Ok check...then I had to make sure everyone knew where to go and weren't just milling about.

Then when all my duties were done I got to PAWTY!

We had a great jam session....

And the best concert!!

And the ladies got pretty rowdy in their fashion show!

And we pawtied into the wee hours of the morning. 

I tried to do my speech but I brought the wrong one...

"I'd like to thank everyone for being here to celebrate and honor Pip and Bunny!  As Secretary of Blogville Security I would like to take a moment and thank you all for the nomination and swear my oath in front of you all.  I, Levi, do solemnly swear to protect you, lick you every night....Oh wait!  That's the wrong speech!  That's the one for Maggie Mae.  Well...um....(dead air)......

It wasn't my best speech but what can I say, I shouldn't of head any of the special brews before heading up to the podium :)

So I finally got a chance to get on the puter and quick get a post up before heading back into the festivities....wait WHAT!? (talking on the walkie talkie).  "Oprah bit a dog?!?  Was she talking about Vick again?  We told her not to do that!  She better be up to date on her shots- we don't want any of our guests
catching anything from her!  I'll be right there!"

On da box again....and my furiends!

Brace yourselves- this is a loooong one :)

So I am  up on da soap box again to air my anger...and mom's.  We decided I needed a spa day- every real man needs some pampering now and then to keep up da good looks.  Now I don't like the bath part too much, but they brush you REAL nice.  But anyway...I am off topic...
So mom started looking up dog bathers spa's and naturally the first ones that came to mind were Petsmart and Petco cause my furiends go there.  So she started with Petsmart.  My mom loves that they do pet adoptions and clinics and loves their toys and stuff for shopping.  Me...I'll take whatever she buys :) 
AGAIN I DIGRESS- (like I said ADHD)
So we are looking up the info and she noticed that they have a daycare school, and mom knows I LOVE school.  You get to PLAY almost all day long.  So she started to take a look and discovered that Petsmart has a BREED RESTRICTION!  They don't allow Pit Bull, Bully breed types, or even Bully look a-likes- it says:

Requirements

Who may attend?

• Dogs at least four months of age
• Dogs who have been socialized with
  other dogs but are not of the “bully
  breed” classification† or wolves/wolf
  hybrids
• Dogs who are in good health (no fleas, ticks, or contagious illnesses)
• No intact (unneutered) male dogs, pregnant females or females in heat
• Dogs who have the following vaccinations: Bordetella, Rabies, Distemper, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus

and of course you notice the asterisk so they go on to clarify:
†Dogs in the "bully breed" classification (e.g. American Pit Bull Terriers, Miniature Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Bull Dogs, Bull Terriers or mixed breeds that have the appearance or characteristics of one of these breeds). For the safety of all animals and associates, and at the discretion of PetSmart, some pets may not be permitted.

Can you believe this dog poo (insert HBO word).  Mom was fuming mad and made many HBO words.  You see I am a Rotti Mix and while we don't know what my "mix" is, it is highly suspected that it is pitty.  AND even if it's not....I have MANY furiends- in da furs and on da blogs- that are Pitties, some of my bestest furiends, and I LOVE THEM, and they are the nicest, most funest dogs ever.  Even at daycare school, there are many other breeds that are aggressive and the pits are not!  It's just shocking.  "Bully" breeds are allowed in their stores, and are at their Pet Adoptions, and can be groomed there, and can even go to classes there- but they can't go to daycare or be boarded?!?!?!  What BS is that!  I can't believe this and mom is totally boycotting Petsmart from now on.  She has cut up her Pet Perks card- taken herself off their mailing/emailing list and we are letting everyone we know what we think!  Hopefully some of my furiends are in agreeance and won't shop there anymore either.  But hey...I am just one blog, and one dog so who knows what difference I can make.

Last weekend I went over to my cousin Dillon's house for the first time EVER!  See Dillon was badly abused before becoming my cousin and then once he was in a super duper spoiling home...he got attacked on his lease- by a Golden Retriever, not a pitbull I'll have you know!  But anyway....
dey weren't sure just how he would be with me coming over, but he was super excited to see me and we played at his house and in his yard.  It was PAWSOME!!!

Then, this weekend- there was a photo shoot at my house.  Yes, Hollywood has finally decided to acknowledge my star quality and takes endless photos of me....ok, ok- there was my furiends too- but I know it was really just an excuse to get me behind the camera!
Sooo....Corbin, Emmett, Maggie Mae, and a cute little weenie dog named Rockete came to my house to play AND to have pictures and video taken by Ms. Peggy.  She has written a book about dieting with her dog and needed dogs to help do some four legs work and advertise :)  Be sure to check out her blog and her post all about it!  And be sure to get her book when it comes out!

Lets me explains somethin...I don't get taken down...I pretty much roll over onto my back ALL the time.  You see I have super duper strong legs and as soon as you come to me I roll onto my back and kick at you with my legs.  I am a little sneaky- hehe.  This was the moment right before I kicked off Corbin and you should have seen the funniest shocked look on his face.  He couldn't figure out how he got off me and on da udder side of da room!  BOL!!

This is the little weenie that Corbin's mom brought over.  She is a super duper cute foster dog that mom was trying to convince dad to take.  Isn't she the cutest ever!  We had some alone time upstairs without all the other dogs.  But dad is a firm no- nah, not cuz he's a big meanie, but cuz him and mom are working on a new 2 legger for me to play with.  I guess that's ok...FOR NOW!

So dude- you have been quite a number of places so this makes it really hard for me to think of someplace cool we could go!  I mean, Paris and Vegas!  A date with Maggie Mae!  How am I supposed to top dose?
I know!!!  Let's go to Mardi Gras!  Maybe we'll run into Puddles- she is from down south and we know she likes to pawty  :)
But um...I don't know if mom will let me go to a pawty place like dis so um...let's not tell her right away.
